Threshold level

Upon successful completion of the threshold level, you will feel confident in most linguistic situations. You will be able to read extracts from Russian newspapers and books, discuss them with your conversation partner and express your own opinion about a book you have read or a movie you have seen. You will also be able to write a discourse on your future plans or describe your impressions.

Course structure

  • This course will help you evaluate your current level of proficiency in Russian and understand which themes to pay more attention to.

    Diagnostic test

  • The main course will help you understand original texts and formulate the problem stated in them.

    Main course

      Course content:
      Each of six lessons of this course consists of three modules:
    • exercise complexes on phonetics, reading; vocabulary, grammar and writing
    • video library: movies, animated films, video advertisements
  • The final test will show whether you've covered Russian as a foreign language at the required level to be certified.
