About the course

Intellectual games are games of the mind, games with the mind, and games for the mind. This is not just brain fitness - this is power-leveling the ability to make decisions and come up with non-conventional solutions in difficult situations. We are talking not just about game situations, but also life situations - it is known that our life is a game, and the best way of learning anything is to play it to the full. Different peoples have different games that are popular; they also have different variations of traditional games: for example, there are dozens of ways people play checkers in the world! In the intellectual games course, the authors will consider the origins, major rules aspects and modern situation in the most popular sports games: chess, checkers, go, bridge and others. Participants will recognize experiences, attractive and brilliant stars of modern mind sports.

  3. Renju.
  4. Go.
  5. Chess.
  6. Bridge.

Purpose of the course

Become familiar with the variety of mind sports and games, such as chess, checkers, Go, Russian chess (Tavrel), Renju etc.

Required qualifications

The course is designed for children, families and anyone interested in mind games, their history and the current situation, as well as those who would like to get an idea of how to play these games, which tactics and strategies to use.

Course results

You will be introduced to different intellectual games, hear about their history and briefly learn their rules and strategies.
